  • Assisted Living Facilities (such as shared residential homes for the elderly)
  • Private Services (when you do not associate yourself with a company or agency but instead choose to offer your services as a care provider)

Roles and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant would include:

  • Answering patient calls
  • Repositioning bedridden patients
  • Taking patients’ vital signs, such as temperature, blood sugar level, and blood pressure
  • Documenting patients’ health issues to report to an RN or LPN
  • Feeding patients, and measuring their food and liquid intake in accordance with the physician’s prescribed dietary plan
  • Cleaning rooms and bed linens
  • Assisting with medical procedures
  • Dressing and cleaning wounds
